General PTA Meeting - Skipped!

January is a busy month at CVE! Therefore; we have decided to skip the next general PTA meeting scheduled for Jan 19th at 7pm. Instead, we recommend joining us for Movie Night on Jan 15 & volunteering for Arts Alive! on Jan 28.  


*Volunteers must have completed a Riverview School District volunteer application and background check. Packets are available at the RSD building located at 15510 - 1st Ave. NE, Duvall, WA 98019. Typical turnaround time is around 1.5-2 weeks.

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER

Cherry Valley Elementary ‎BINGO Night Friday, Nov 20 6-8pm   BINGO is the "in" thing to do in Duvall on a Friday night, and Cherry Valley Cheetahs know how to do it right! PTA hosts an evening of old fashioned BINGO fun with traditional bingo, blackout bingo and everything in between. This wildly popular family event needs volunteers to make it successful. We are looking for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends to give only 30 minutes of their time. You can sell bingo cards, work concessions, serve pizza and/or to supervise the prize table. Sign up for a quick shift here: http://vols.pt/SZ6eNZ. Have You Ever Seen a Cheetah Walk?

Well, here's your chance! Our very own Cherry Valley Cheetahs hit the pavement (track) for our largest PTA fundraiser of the year on  Thursday, Oct. 8th.  Forms went home last week, but more are available in the front office if you need an extra too! The kids love this event, parents love it and it takes a lot of help to pull it off!  So, thank you in advance for hopefully being able to help out Thursday, Oct 8.

Please look over the chart below. The shaded areas are filled as of the evening of Wed, September 30. If there is a spot you would like to take, please email Katie at katieellsworth@hotmail.com.

We know most parents like to help with their child's class and we do our best to accommodate those requests, but we fill the schedule based on a first reply basis.  If you are available to help with more than one shift, even better — just let Katie know! There are also openings for helping with water & snacks, being the Cheetah & the Cheetah bodyguard (sshh! it's a secret), and simply as an extra/backup helper.

Your volunteer paperwork from the school district must be filled out and approved in order to help. As you can see, we need a lot of volunteers to make this event happen!

Cheetah Walk - Can You Help?

Its that time again! The big day is quickly approaching … this Thursday, Oct. 8th.  If you are new to Cherry Valley, you’ll quickly learn that this is the largest PTA fundraiser of the year.  The kids love it, parents love it and it takes a lot of help to pull it off!  This year the kids are walking to earn money to go towards a mobile laptop cart.  So, thank you in advance for hopefully being able to help out next Thursday.

Field Day!!!

The end of the school year is quickly approaching! That means it's time for ....

 

 

We need parent volunteers to make this fun event run smoothly! Helping out at Field Day is a great way to celebrate the end of the school year with your kids.

Foreign Language Class being offered at CVE next year!

 

Foreign Language for Youth is offering language classes to students at Cherry Valley Elementary before or after school, beginning October 2014 and ending in Spring 2015. 

 

Classes meet at Cherry Valley Elementary, and tuition is only $299 for 40 lessons (less than $7.50 for each 40 minute lesson!).

Use the online survey to let us know your language preferences and schedule, and we will try to offer your choice.
